“When the times are urgent, slow down.” -Bayo Akomolafe. This experiential and reflective workshop will provide space to slow down and reconnect with our internal wisdom. Contemplative practices offer opportunities to decolonize our dominant paradigms of learning. Higher education is primarily rooted in the dominance of the mind, individualism, objectivity, and other aspects of white supremacy culture. This session offers embodied unsettling of white supremacy culture and practice of contemplative tools to foster whole person, inclusive, and relational learning.
