Assessment practices can bring students into the learning or push students out of our courses. In this workshop, teaching faculty will explore the use of assessment tools that increase feelings of student belonging while also helping students engage in course content.
Maika Yeigh is an Associate Professor in the College of Education where she works with teacher candidates seeking initial licensure. Her passions include providing rich clinical experiences and using inquiry as a mechanism to understand learning. Additional teaching interests include using trauma-informed assessment practices as well as English/Language Arts instruction.
