Equidistribution of sequences and modular forms A sequence of numbers in a bounded interval can be distributed in many ways. When the proportion of terms falling in a subinterval tends to the length or any other measure of the subinterval, we say that the sequence is equidistributed. In the last few decades, there has been much activity in studying the equidistribution of Fourier coefficients of modular forms. We discuss some interesting results in this area, and my own work with K. Sinha on this topic.
