Troubleshooting

When having difficulties connecting to or watching media, please try the following:

  1. Check that the URL is correct. It is possible that it might have a typo or be outdated. If you are copying and pasting or manually typing in the URL, it might be a better idea to go back to the Media Archive page to look it up.

  2. Wait long enough for the computer to connect. Some of our content has blank screens or extended title screens of up to a few minutes; make sure to give the media time to play.

  3. Install the latest software on your computer. We recommend playing media in the player rather than in the web browser. Some campus computers are using old, incompatible versions of Windows Media Player; we recommend using VLC.

It is possible that these suggestions will not solve your problems. Contact us for further assistance and we will attempt to solve the problem. Whatever is causing the problem, we at the DLC want to know about it so we can help others access the videos.
